The Engineering Memorial to the Narrow Line Locomotive 994301

This locomotive is part of Gommern’s Industrial and Transport history. Its previous service for Gommern and its surroundings was the condition for its memorial status. Its current location is a source of pleasure for people from both near and far.

In 1975 after restoration and an initiative by the Gommern commission for nature and home the locomotive was put on display at the main train station.

The installation at the railway station proved to be the right thing to and to this day it is still an impressive sight. In this way, Gommern has a memorial of local transport history which still draws new visitors. Even today the locomotive is keenly photragraphed by onlookers.
